Thank you all for the continued replies, it's nice to know some of us are using our cars regularly and also that perhaps this is making people think that they should make more effort to use their cars.

BTW Doug is that an invite?
Kindest regards

When I first got my +2, it was on a limited (5,000) miles policy, but I found myself exceeding this way too easily so had to change to another insurer to get an unlimited mileage policy. Over 7 years Up to 31st December 2008 I was averaging around 6-8,000 miles pa, but none since then...... I am forgetting what it feels like to drive it!

Give it another month.

Hmmmm..

I've had my +2 since 2001 and have driven 35000 miles since then. I have never broken down, except when the fuel line blocked up. I was carrying a bicycle pump at the time as the fuel tank was dirty and it was starting to give trouble, so I pumped some air back up the fuel line to clear it. On my way again! 8)

Mind you I have replaced every rotating bearing in the car! One can't be too careful :D

And I have enjoyed every minute. :D

Alan, yes it is in a major rebuild at the moment - see' Progress & Setbacks' and 'Trials and Smiles' in the Gallery section..

As I said, give it a month.

I was using my Elan a lot up until about a year ago. Every Sunday was a 100+ mile drive

Just short of 30,000 miles in 5 years, about 4-5,000 miles a year on classic rallies and the rest here and there. Shame on anyone who does less than, say, 1500 miles a year.

Christian / Spyderfan

I am hoping I can sort my shifts out to get to CLM 2010. :D
I know I will be disappointed if I do not make it.
