One question re Elan Front Number plates.
Given that the numbers are buried in the air intake, are they actually visible from the lens of a head-on-facing Camera ?

Someone posted recently that they were not visible "and I should know" but he didn't elucidate when asked....

I recall this theory being mentioned before; I think it is highly unlikely that the camera will not pick it up.

With the recessed front number arrangement that Elans have you need to be very careful that an old sweet wrapper doesn't get blown up off the road and partially cover one of the letters or digits, rendering it unreadable to Truvelos. I know that I spend a lot of time making sure that a Mars Bar wrapper never obscures the end character of my registration number.

I suppose if fate/luck was on your side a sticky sweet wrapper could even find itself positioned over two letters as opposed to one digit,that way one of our mathematical friends could tell us the chances of a determined desk bound enforcement person looking up your number?
