I can't believe that you'd actually want pictures of us. Just stare at a picture of an Elan; far less horrifying.
>>> :shock: <<<

Speak for yourself big ears. Herding cats!! .....

Nearly wet myself. Mrs B asked what was up :D

I am up for the meet up at 2 pm sat and sun....... I was also thinking a lapel badge.... Elan . net and username....

Identification?
Ha with you it'll be easy, Kilt & Bagpipes 'innit?
Seriously though, the badge thingy fell on barren ground; I'm sure that if some idiot like myself shouts out at just past 14:00 "Who's from LotusElan.net" will do the job
And oi you mush my ears aren't big, I'm just incredibly folically challenged

Things are looking gloomy in the shed, the bearing noises in first and second are getting louder, and if I can't get my spare box up to scratch and fitted before next weekend it'll have to be the Mondeo......

John :(

John,

Without my Sprint too. Still trying to fit the new engine and 5 speed box.

Tried to pm you (a question you may be able to answer) but Elan.net says I'm not permitted to send a pm to you !!
So if you'd be kind enough to email me (sgbooth "at" totalise.co.uk) ?

Thanks.

Stuart.

I think I am going to use my wife's car. Just need to do a few more (hundred) miles in the Srint to make sure nothing fails or falls off. Clutch hydraulics were the only real issue. Small carb issue remains but might run in. Have not made my mind up yet though. Weather will be part of the final decision. Good weekend and I prob' will go for it.

Travelling down with Scottish rep for Club Lotus in convoy. He will be in his ser' 3 (I think ) coupe. Nice little car.

Sorry to hear your prob's John. I will buy you a beer when I see you. CL stand @ 1400 hrs.

Cheers all.

John,

I see you've emailed me, but not received !
Looks like I've an IT problem !!

I was hoping you could help with a definitive measurement for the length of a propshaft.

Elan Sprint, tall block engine, Spyder (early) chassis, Lotus 5 speed 'box.

I've trawled the archives but cannot find a definitive answer.

thanks,
Stuart.

Stuart

Can't help re the sprint bit as I'm a +2 man...

Spyder chassis...same dimensions as Lotus?

but in a recent thread someone suggested that the "difference" stays the same "baby" elan/plus2

John

John,

Can you not re-book via Ostend ?

When I lived in Germany, I almost always used that route.

Regards,
Stuart.

Thanks Stuart,

To be honest I had not given alternatives further thought.
There are other underlying personal reasons for me not persuing other alternatives & deciding to stay at "home" this time.
What did you do when in Germany?

Cheers
John
