*Lotus concours d'elegance - pre 1973, 1974-1995, 1996 onwards
*Lotus clubs displays and historic parades including F1 cars
*Lotus trade stands
*Four Lotus Elise races with world land speed record holder Andy Green competing
*World record attempt for largest number of Lotus cars on track in a parade.

Hi Everyone

Can anyone here suggest why the organisers should see fit to exclude late model Plus 2s and Europa Specials from their early concourse event .

A nasty experience with either car perhaps? Maybe it was the year Paul Golding (who I think is organising) was born, brings back bad memories? I suspect, knowing Paul a little, the sun probably got to him and what they meant to say was pre 1974.

I'm probably going, not sure what to take though, Elan or Elise

...And it was sunny !

The record attempt was successful - 436 Lotuses on the track !

Could also have been called the 'Ultimate Cooling System Test'...
This may have been why only a handful of classic Elan & +2 models were brave enough to take part
[My +2 with Stromberg carbs, wide radiator, 12" Kenlowe fan, and bonnet on the latch 'kept its cool' ]
