Thanks for the reply - I am also planning a 3 row recore. My narrow S4 radiator is just on the limit with 180 hp, 3 row core, good blanking plates and foam top sealing, 40C plus days and even then only goes over the limit at the end of a race on cool down lap. Been fine for many years but decided a bit more head room good so the extra 30% area in the wide radiator should be plenty with 3 cores even in my extreme application.
Anyhow my hisooric racing regs dont allow modern alloy radiators so the S3 one is the best option.
