also in there were Ford GT 40 and Lola T70.
Superceeded by the Porsche 917.

Then you'll appreciate this. I had a chance to sit in it at Goodwood a few years ago when Jim Hall brought three of the Chaparrals to the Festival of Speed. This photo was taken in April 2004 when the Petroleum Museum opened its Chaparral exhibit in Midland, Texas. In the background are the Chaparral workshops. Jim Hall drove the 2F from Chaparral headquarters to the museum a few miles up the road.

Oh dear me, I've gone all gaa gaa, it's probably not what you would call a really nice shape etc etc, but the man (Jim Hall) was just a bit ahead of old ACBC in some respects, and seeing that wing work as it did just, phew, did me in (at 15 years old).
One of my ambitions is to visit the Chaparral shop someday.

Thanks Galway Lotus for brightening my day. OK, I am easily pleased.

I will take this question more literally. MY dream shop would be 60 feet by 100 feet. Inside would have a engine shop, machine shop, paint both and at least one lift. I won?t get into all the tools I am currently missing.

Are you going to literally paint both your engine and machine shop?
