what's your "DREAM GARAGE"

PostPost by: 1964 S1 » Mon Oct 15, 2007 4:05 am

Gentlemen,
Please note the Banks Europa was sixth on that list and is therefore currently disqualified as fodder for this thread subject.
Dear elansprint71,
Do your comments mean the car is in, or out, of YOUR dream garage?

I pretty much like the cars in my garage - - but I would have more space room for my formula vee --room for a bar and large screen T.V. [do not drink and drive] a large lathe ---clean engine build room -- a lift --and a first aid kit about the size of a 56 Buick --for minor cuts and abrasions----- oh yes a brass pole for the dancing girls when the beer keg for my buddys arrives --- :) -ed

FINALLY I kinda agree with Ed. (I don't need a brass pole)
I too like what I own, just wish I had a garage to park 'em in.
My real dream garage would always wonder where the road is to drive them on and where the next windshield stone chip is coming from.

Hi Gents

Well IF My garage were to be stocked it would have to be with some of my past cars + one or two additions

Lotus Elan +2S 130/5 has to stop in the garage

Ferrari 512 Berlinetta Boxer with 5 litre flat 12 fed by 4 tripple barrel webbers would have to come back

Ferrari Mondial 3.2 Litre V8 would have to be there for the occasional 4 seats

Reliant Scimitar GTC to return so I have a convertable

And Finally the Aston Martin V8 Vantage I so nearly bought 10 years ago would have to be purchased to complete the stable !

Oh to Dream :D

Cheers

I'd just like to see all of the current cars in my garage running. That would take some doing as most are far from that. Out of the 9 only the S2 runs. Since the second photo I added another Elan (36/9686) that now resides above the the running S2, this was just to get it out of site from the neighbors. I added another wreck for them to view so I guess it's a wash. In the back room (behind the rug hanging on the back wall) of the garage is a 66 Lotus Cortina and a 70 Elan Coupe, The car behind the Elite (in the top photo) is a TVR Grantura mk2a.

I'd keep the current garage contents, and just add two cars.

The DB4 GT Zagato to swoon over:

And the only beautiful Ferrari made, the 275 GTB. Enzo's attempt at making an E Type, it's not quite there but makes a great shopping car. It has to be in Fly Gallio Yellow of course!

My dream garage will have space for three cars, be close to my house and have an area for a workshop. All I have at the moment is a rented lockup (admittedly next to a pub), which I have just discovered is too short to fit my +2 in......

As for what goes in the garage, that's a different story.

Fun thread.

If we're dreaming big...

Bugatti Type 35 (C or B)
Maserati Tipo 61 "Birdcage"
Jaguar XKSS
Alfa Romeo TZ-2
And my Elan!
