Mark,

A little from column A and a little from column B!

I've spent a good bit of time bending the ears of the great Rich Kamp
up in nothern california, so credit due too him, patient man Rich.

Pete,

Excellent point on the dash, that came from the library, which as I have
learned isn't always how it happens or happened, ergo the horn switch as
a back up.

I can recall the first time I discovered the horn switch while being very carefull not to disturb an elite at a dealership,... cue the defibrillator!

Come on guys, there was only one actress who could do justice to an Elan.

Emma Peel of course. aka Diana Rigg. Current reruns on BBC4 bring back memories. Naff stories but some good car shots.

Indeed.

I was watching an episode a few weeks ago (The House That Jack Built) and there was a scene where they wanted to draw attention to a key Mrs Peel had been given... so they put in an extra ignition switch further up the dash so the key would dangle infront of the viewer!

I know the blue car from the colour series is in The Car's The Star museum up North but does anyone know what happened to the Yellow one?

Just wondered if anyone might be interested - but attached is a photo of Peters original dash drawings - oh to have that much talent! (I can't draw for toffee!)

yes, what happened to HNK 999C?
(watched "Castle of De'ath" tonight... lovely scene when Emma puts
her full size EP suitcase in the car and drives out of the castle.)
I also realised the second ingition barrel at the glovebox side. I wonder if they ruined dashboards to do so - or just a glued on thing.
Also interesting: there are different center tunnel tops: Emmas car has a flat front ending - most cars center tunnels have a return flange at the front, like on the sides.

A serie springs in mind when i see the picture of whatever-her-name-is....
Wasn't a lotus used in the Avengers, or is that the serie we are talking about?

And wasn't there some Bond-babe that drove a white Elan S4 DHC?

Please - If I am wrong - wich might be the case - correct me!

My one problem is that distance keeps me from my Elan. (36/5395)

There is a Toyota GT 2000 DHC mockup in "You only live twice". They were only made for the film (2 or 3 made)
Britt Eklund (Goodnight / Man with the golden gun) drove a white S3 DHC Elan when off business (Peter Sellers owned it).
