Hello John,
Try using small drill bits as bore pins for each bullet size. I can no longer see up close either...

On the subject of our vendors, I have to save the ones I’ve been dealing with lately are knocking it out of the park. Ray and the folks at RDent have always been amazing, and have just gotten better during this time. The people at British wiring I’ve ordered a number of things from British wiring, and the folks there are personable, responsive, and extremely helpful. And I had a similar experience with the folks at classic British spares.

Our community needs to support this level of excellence, if for no other reason, so they will still be here for us in the years to come…

Agree completely about Ray and George at RD Enterprises, great/helpful folks!

I now have a hexagon crimp tool winging its way over the atlantic, from a norton motorcycle dealer.

I believe you will be very happy with this tool. After a couple of practice attempts, mine is working very effectively! The only criticism I have (and maybe I just don’t know how to work it), is I find it very awkward to turn the little knob that releases the ratchet after I have completed the crimp. Can someone with more experience with this tool tell me the secret?

John, that knob is for releasing the ratchet mid-cycle. Squeeze it full cycle and the ratchet releases itself.

Ooohhh! That makes things a lot easier!
