Not tried it yet in anger ( need a bigger socket  )

But appears to fit very well.

I initially got in touch with him via Ebay from a Previous listing to ask if he made them for the 3 eared fastener.
Really good comms and when he made the next batch he let me know they were available

?55.00 plus postage and quality and fit are pretty good and certainly way better than I could have knocked up myself....
Might add a bit of sacrificial foam or similar material for added protection which I have seen others do.

Hopefully this will stop any future damage to the freshly coated wheels or the new spinners when they go on...

Cheers all

Fifty Five Pounds?!? Holy cow! Order one for each wheel!

Thick leather like shoe sole at the contact points works brilliantly.

Lionel's spinner tool is great, but do be careful with your freshly coated wheels. It tends to contact with the wheel itself and can scape the paint off.

I recommend care, or better still a bit of fabric glued to the offending surface. (of the tool not the wheel).

Cheers for the advice JP, will take a look at that and add a protective layer.

May I alter this topic a little?

Many years ago at Donninhgton I saw a wheel spinner tool called "Spin It Off" being demonstrated. I made a mental note to buy one when I got nearer to actually needing it. Sadly the company seems to have folded. Does anyone have one that I could copy?

Why would you want to at that price, it?s probably less than half the price of others.

I bought one of Lionel's prototypes around 5-6 years ago now and it's been absolutely brilliant.

Never had an issue with marking. I use a 900mm long breaker bar and it works a treat

I've just bought one from Lionel as a present for one of the kids to give me at Xmas :D
Great service - as he had one in stock it came in a couple of days.
Got lucky as he's in Tenerife for a month now!
Looks to be just the business.
Getting the other child to buy 3/4 breaker and socket for Xmas.
The edges do feel a bit sharp in places so might relieve them a bit - can't see that taking more than a couple of minutes though.

Even longer ago, maybe 18 years, I saw the makers demonstrating their Spin it off tool at Castle Combe. Lovely bit of kit but the price was £75 so I passed. Then, years later, I had a stand at Donnington selling a load of crap that I did not want. There was a guy next to me selling the Spin it off tool. Not the same guy who was at Combe. He was asking £120, but by the end of the day I had beaten him into submission, and got a large discount.

As the number of cars in my stewardship increased, I used to transfer the tool from boot to boot, but soon tired of doing that, so I bought one of Lionel's tools, at a fraction of the price of the SIO tool, £38 at the time. It does the job, but it is like comparing a 512BB with a Fiat 124. They will both get you there, maybe, but one with a bit more STYLE...........

Well, I did have 10 minutes to spare before my booster jab this afternoon.
