I found this tool roll in my recently purchased S3SE DHC. Some of the tools and the roll may be original, could you guys provide me with information on the original tools? Also, there is small ?rod?( on the picture above the tools) which I have found lying on the engine head, between the spark plug cables. Any idea what this could be?
Best regards
Phil

There are quite a few threads on tool rolls, here is one I started that should be informative - http://www.lotuselan.net/forums/tool-talk-f43/length-size-tools-original-toolkit-t27289.html
Your tool roll pouch is a modern one... no idea what the back scratcher was intended for, but definitely not original!
RD Enterprises (AKA Ray in PA) has the parts manuals available on line, here is the one for the tool kit - http://www.rdent.com/manuals/elan/tools/ta.htm ; the contents varied, notably the Jack & the device to tighten the Nader Nut / spinner.
p.s. Welcome!

Re the unknown rod.
I have seen an oil filler cap secured by a wire-ish line to a cam cover stud. Maybe something similar???

unfortunately Phil it looks as though someone has added a random set of tools and a tool roll - (apart from perhaps the hammer) it doesn't look as though there are any correct items there.
For reference here's my original tool roll:
