A colortune was one of the first specialist tools that I ever booght.

Many years ago now and I still use it to set the idle mixtures.

The ability to see the colour of the flame is priceless..

Highly reccommended by me.

However pricelessness has its limits and mine was not nearly as expensive as that one.

:D :)

Bargain !! I'll take two at that price :)

Do you think there out of stock but didn't want to take down the add to replace it in a few days when the stock comes in (Costs you money to place a rolling add on Ebay) so up the price so no one buys one ;)

I remember a lathe supplier doing prices like that.

There was something I had been following and the price did a similar thing, I messaged them and they told me exactly what you surmise, said once they had stock it would return to the previous price.

I suspect that is exactly the case.

It does however cast doubt on the 35 left!

Someone being economical with the truth?

As i said above... when you set up a rolling add on Ebay it asks you how many you wish to sell, because he's just replenishing stock as they go out he could put any number he wants in there and it will keep running forever until he's sold them all, so all he does is put a random number in say 257 and then raises the price to some thing rediculass when he has to reorder so no one is daft enough to buy one (It's to do with his turn around time and getting bad feedback). The question should be why hasn't he put 999 items? (Maybe as Ebay is greedy like that there might be a cap)

It's just a trick round ebay to keep your Ebay sellers fee's to a minimum, if he listed each one individually it would cost him a fortune.

There's nothing random about 257, 256 Plus1.

Grizzly,
As an Ebay user I find this workaround an interesting subject.
Rather than take up space on this forum, can I PM you so you can explain it more?
