Nice little tool (well not so little)

Just found this lurking in the shed during my move/clear-out,I remember going to halfords especially for the spanner and then promptly cutting it in half and roughly taping the ends over after forcing them into a handy piece of tube...overall length 24" approx....I'll give you a couple of days to guess what for before I spill the beans...

Something that has had very infrequent use, eh? Is that a clue?
For opening a can of worms? Sump plug remover to drain oil at arms length?

Checking tightness of inner rotoflex bolts without having to get under car i.e. just removing wheel.

Handbrake tree
Bolt inside demister intake plenum (Is there one on the inside?)
Tightening the bolt on the front cover that you can't get at
Alternator bottom bolt.

Looks too long to be any use for tightening anything, maybe it's for holding something on one side while tightening from the other? Bit like the coil mounting bolts where you have to grip the bolt head in the engine bay while tightening the nut in the wheel arch...

Might be onto something there Robbie - to hold the bolts on the brake & clutch master cylinders ??

Too late,John has it,how many times have you had to put it in gear and rock the car backwards and forwards when checking the tappets,cam and ignition timing when this little spanner enables you to rock the engine or turn it over..Drops down the front of the engine between the front cover and radiator and fits the crank pulley bolt..

Thats a very good idea, saves you cutting the back of your hand on the radiator fins.
