http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/extras/to ... ner-tools/ Look at his video for knockoff spinners.
What a surprise!! It looks like I'll be visiting Jay with a brand new line of improved knockoff spinner tools for other cars adding to what I'm making now. http://knockoffspinnertool.com/
I'll post the new tools soon.
Again, thanks for all of your interest.

Fantastic Sarto, great little spot. Best of luck with the expanded opportunity! Did you see the posted comment on the video site by the guy with the 'Vette? Might be another tool application to consider? NB, the first couple of picture links on your nice little site were not working when I called up the link.

Do you or anyone else know of a large octagonal socket head to fit the Lotus Nader Nuts that would be able to be used with Sarto's recommended 1" drive 'double click both ways' torque wrench? Reason I ask is I almost lost a rear wheel on my trip to LOG31. I felt an unusual wobble from the rear and pulled over immediately. The Nader Nut had backed off just to the edge of the drive pins and was going to fall off; man that was close.

I have one of the long flat Nader Nut wrenches that Ray sells, but clearly I didn't put enough torque into the left rear; having the assurance of correct torque your tool combo offers would be great. I torqued up all the Nader Nuts, but the flat wrench has a tendency to distort with my body weight, so a full on socket & torque wrench / breaker bar might be a better deal.

Stu,
Jas, on this forum, has the answer.
elan-f14/octagon-spinner-tool-t20582.html

I've got one and it works great. However, when I first used it, I used a piece of black pipe one would get from the big box home stores and found it flexed a bit too much when real torque was appled. I've since found a solid bar and although heavier :( , you can apply all the torque you want with no worries.

Wow, many thanks Greg. Not sure how I missed that thread. Geez I love this place!

PS edited my post to indicate Octagonal Nader Nut socket rather than six point; not sure what was going on there. :?

Hi Stu, Greg beat me to the link to Jas's tool. I did buy a Corvette tool that
sold for about $375. I got mine off of EBay for a lot less, when I was researching other tools.
Here is a picture of the Vette tool. Its really big.
I can open Jay's but try this one. http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/extras/to ... ner-tools/

Geez, that's amazing! Only better thing would have been to get on Oprah! I heard an invite for a personal appearance. Go quickly. Strike while the spinner is hot.

Congrats.

Enjoy the visit to Leno's man cave. Let us know how the 200 hp Elan is coming along
BTW, is your tool "patent pending"?

Hi Stu and other Octagonal spinner users.

I still have one tool left but I will be happy to make more if anyone is interested.

- Guillermo your tool is packed and ready to be send on Monday.
- Sarto best of fun and luck at Jay's, I wish it was me.

I have three cars with spinner knock offs.

Elan +2, TVR Vixen and Jaguar MK2. I assume there is no way to use one tool for all three cars. I have to measure the TVR and Jag spinners. I may need three tools.

Bob, maybe not, send me pictures of your spinners. I'm finding that, in the style of Colin Chapman, one tool may function for several different spinner types.

Phil, the tools are pending. PM me for more info.

And thanks for all of the great comments. Its has gotten real busy since Jay Leno's surprise video.
