Talked with the owner of diamondracingwheels.com about cutting the centers out my new steel wheels and welding them into 5-1/2" wide rims. No problem there apparently. The price is fair and turnaround time is reasonable. Only issue that's in doubt is whether or not I'll survive the process of asking for permission to spend (waste) more money on my car. :unsure: Must think of a really good Xmas present this time. :blink:

Thanks Rohan. While I'm measuring the backspacing that's possible and other clearance issues I'll have a look at the top arms too.
