Mike
When I put new tyres on the Sprint I was told that manufacturers were moving away from 80 profile and the largest profile they do as standard now is 75.
I believe I am also right in saying that Lotus did 80 profile tyres as standard but gave a sportier option of lower profile Goodyear tyres which were 75s.

Hello Mike, I've got 175/70 13 tires on my '69 +2 with stock wheels. They fit fine and clear all suspension, body parts. Eric

Had Goodyears... was advised by a Lotus specialist to go for Uniroyals... 165/80 R13.

One of them is leaking like hell around the valve stem since it was changed though! Can anyone offer any advice as to the best way to stop this? It's in for a service in a fortnight anyway, so I'll get them to look at it, but I didn't want to attack it with sealing gunk or anything like that without asking advice first!

;)
