Plus 2 standard road wheel offset?

Hi

And yes I have used the search option. A lot of discussion with no-one actually giving a definitive answer.

Does anyone know please?

I have a good reason for asking which I shall disclose once I have the correct information.

Edit: I am thinking mainly of the steel wheels, though the alloy should be similar.

Many thanks in advance!

Berni,

A standard Plus 2 steel rim measures 163mm o/a width.

The offset from the wheel rim outer face to the face of the hub is 47mm

Hope this helps.

I think offset is the measurement of how far the hub face is offset towards the outside of the rim from the center of the rim.
So if the figures in the prior post are correct, and changing 163mm to 164mm for convenience: centerline is 82mm, less 47mm meaurement from outside, equals offset of +35mm.
Right?
And this is not the same as the small Elan, which has a larger offset. Does anyone have that figure handy? Or I could go the garage and measure the spare I suppose... ;-)

Hi Guys

Thank you! I have quite a few wheels, grabbed a chrome rim one and measured the offset as 64mm, so I had better go check again as it does seem a bit large haha.

Thanks again
