Frigthening day on wet roads today ... Make me think how old my tyres are ?

Quite easy for front ones: JKD3817 is 38th week of 2017 isn't it?

But more complicated for rear (Firestone F590).
No DOT number and 02 52725 or 0226188-S don't speak to me: 26th week of 2002 ?! But didn't match post or pre 2000 tyre age decoder :?
Could explain funny roadholding on wet with 20 years old tyres at the back and 5 years one at front !
Image

But would like to be sure, any help appreciated !

Hi,
I do not think either of those marks are date codes. Look for four numbers in a rectangle with rounded ends (oval)
Week first, then year. Are your tyres so old that they predate the date code system. I think mine were when I spun
off a wet road. I had no idea how old they were.

It's interesting but does it matter? Sounds like they need replacing either way. They aren't making new plus 2 or new you but they are making new tyres....

Finally found on inner side (only) of rear tyres
