Rear caliper banjo s4

PostPost by: Mileso » Tue May 11, 2021 8:28 pm

Just had my refurbished rear calipers back and fitting in progress. Little confused. Drivers side no banjo, near side has a banjo but it seems to get in the way of bleed nipple.
Should both sides be without a banjo and hoses direct to caliper?

I’m no expert but don’t recall banjos on my old Sprint?

Banjos all round on my car - very early Sprint so same as S4. I think that later Sprints didn’t have banjos.
No problem with bleed nipples.

There should not be Banjos on rear calipers. From caliper to the Lug on Chapman Strut use "Kunifer" pipe/Tube. Then from Lug on chapman to rest of Circuit Flexible to Chassis.

The parts list has 026J6014, Banjo bolt, Quantity 4. That’s one for each corner on my car, just as Ian’s picture shows.

All of the Elans I've pulled down, which include S1, S2, S3, S4 all had banjo's on calipers with flexible lines connecting to them. no knifer in sight on rear. A short Kunifer pipe was used on S4 front calipers.
