Resilient Mounting DA24

PostPost by: geni » Tue Apr 27, 2021 11:25 am

The "Elastic fixings" rear suspension needs to be replaced on my Elan S3. But 2 mounts possible per 45 degree orientation (in the direction of rotation on the damper rod) As they have a hollow internal cavity (clearance in the rubber), so tell me the correct mounting position? Thank you for your clarifications

The voids in the rubber should face front and rear not left and right.
If you have an original Lotus chassis the orientation of the mount is determined by the two mounting bolt holes at the top of each suspension turret - it is not possible to fit the mount incorrectly.

If you have a Spyder chassis there are four mounting bolt holes in each turret so you can get it wrong.
