Anti Roll Bar Drop Link Bushes look odd?

PostPost by: Bigbaldybloke » Sun Apr 25, 2021 12:31 am

For a completely different reason I was searching through the various boxes of parts in my garage today and happened to notice what looks like a pair of new Plus 2 anti roll bar drop links complete with the bushes bonded in at the chassis end. If it helps I think I can find them again fairly quickly and provide photos and dimensions. From memory the top link bush is a snug fit in the chassis with the parts on the chassis where it fits being parallel. The real pig of a job is fitting the bottom bushes onto the bar and inside the drop link and as Rohan mentioned, getting them in the right place on the anti roll bar.
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine!

Parts manual shows bonded bush in drop link, looks like the bond has failed between both in the link and the inner steel sleeve. As the bush in the roll bar end is free to move on the bar there should be very little side force on the top bush, under road use.
