Lockheed servo installation

I have discovered after thirty years of ownership that the servo in my Elan is incorrectly orientated. With the engine bay empty I want to reinstall the servo with the preferred orientation. I don't think that it will be in the way of the radiator but could someone please give me a measurement from the front of the rad to the bulkhead before I start drilling holes.

I must check on my car also now you ask the question.
I know the Brakes can sort of stick on sometimes just for a few seconds.

Sticking was explained to me by the chaps at Classicar. Basically a little bit of surface corrosion in the bore can cause the poppet valve, under the white plastic cover, to stick. Just take it apart and clean the bore should sort it so he said. Problem occurs with little used cars apparently.

Yes i know with the little Valve to fit a little Spring.
To follow the post i would like to check the compound angle it should be at.
I seem to remember 45` and 30` or something like that.

Google Lockheed Servo instructions and you’ll find it no problem.

Interestingly I saw an ad’ for an Elan restored by a well known company and spotted that the servo was incorrectly orientated.

I know it might be easier to drill holes with an empty engine bay, but the servo can be quite a tight fit, and I would have everything in the engine bay in place first, to establish where and how exactly it should be mounted. I found I had to cut and reweld the original mounting bracket to get it quite right.

for sure your car is a +2 and on the Baby Elan or at least on my Sprint it's infront of the Rad on Exhaust side.

You are correct.

Sure I would not be familiar with the differences in the Baby Elan, at all, at all !
