Tires

PostPost by: Pete M » Wed Aug 19, 2020 1:19 pm

Thanks for the advice everybody. Looks like the Michelins are the tires to have. This hesitancy stems from putting a set of Khumos on my Miata and being so disappointed with the elastic sidewalls. I tend to drive the Elan fairly aggressively. Couldn't find Perellis anywhere.

Just an aside, no real relevance here- I used to have a VW Mk IV GTI with the sport-package wheels. I put some Kumhos on it once when money was tight and they were so short-lived that one set of the nice Michelins would have saved money long-term over the two sets of Kumhos that it would have taken to equal the mileage I got from one set of Michelins.

Hi guys.

Try www.onlinetires.com

No relationship other than customer. Lots of tires in the correct size. Some made in China and some in the USA and other places.

I have bought about 5 sets from these guys.

Plugging in the 165 size for the Plus 2, I only saw two tires and both were whitewall types, and the Goodrich had nice W I D E bands of white!
