I would appreciate it if someone would post the suspension alignment specs for the Elan +2. A friend's +2 has had a lot of new parts installed, plus the ride height lowered, and now needs to be aligned.
Thanks and Regards,
Tim Engel

I double checked these alignment specs with the glove box book for just the +2 and they are the same. Also the +2 S 130 has a supplement that goes with the regular +2 glove box manual and it offers no different alignment specs so must not be changed from the +2 through the +2S130 and of course car never got the crazy bumpers of the later years that required raised ride height of 1974 build-date cars Gordon

wait, what?
Guess my service manual predates that, I have never seen raised ride height or different bumpers
Do you have pics?

Sorry, not good flow in my wording I guess. I was just giving an aside about how the +2 suspension was always the same throughout manufacture, that unlike some other British marques that stayed (MG) in the US market, Lotus did not continue in the market and do ride height and bumper adjustments to comply with federal safety rules that started in 1974. There may not be rubber bumper +2's( Thank god!) but there are quite a few late cars, particulary the Federal ones it seems, that do sit very high as though they are on steroids!
