Any experience with Dunlop SR2 or Nankang CX668 tyres?

Has anybody run 155/80 Dunlop Street Response 2 tyres or Nankang CX668 on their Elan on 4.5J 13 rims, and if so how do they perform?
I?m considering buying a set of one or the other. In theory they both look similar to Michelin XAS in that they have rounded tread profile (although not asymmetric ). They are both speed rated as T (118mph), but as it doesn?t get any track use I doubt I?ll need the H speed rating (130mph) of the XAS. I do however tend to drive it quite quickly through lower speed corners (<~70mph)
I have my elan set up on an open diff with a spyder chassis with spyder?s upper control link on the rear. 5/8 anti-roll bar on the front and the Spax adjustable shocks wound all the way down on the rear and 3 clicks up on the front. Handling is okay on 175/70-13 on 5.5? rims but I would prefer the breakaway at the limit to be more predictable / progressive. I have a spare set of original rims and am considering going to a narrower tyre.
Any experience or comments would be appreciated - thanks.

I have the Nankangs on my 1960 MGA Roadster and they seem to do just fine. Good traction wet and dry.

Of course, the handling isn't quite the same as an Elan, and they are 15s. But, they are mounted on those skinny wire wheels which are only 4" wide.

I replaced my ancient Michelin XAS tyres with Dunlop Street Responses on my S4 about six weeks ago.

The transformation has been brilliant so far.
