Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

When I bought my S1 Elan it came with an entire set of "extra" bolt on steel wheels. These are 13 x 5.5 bolt on wheels. One of them has the 3 "pegs" for holding the hub cap on, the other 4 do not. Is it possible to add the pegs? The holes are there. Or are these wheels for a different model car? I understand that early Elan's had 13 x 4.5 inch wheels.

Somebody took them off to run without hub caps for the smooth look. I've seen it before.

An S1 Elan surely would have been on 13 x 4.5j not an inch bigger. I'd have thought they were Plus 2 wheels by the size but not with bolt on's and hub caps. Bit of a strange one.

Correction, my mistake in measuring. I was incorrectly using the measurement from lip to lip which is 5.5 inches. The wheels are the stock 4.5 inch wheels.
