Lotus Elan

Ride Too Firm

PostPost by: jimj » Sun Aug 14, 2016 12:35 pm

Absolutely, Lotus were, and are, world class engineers when it comes to perfecting the ride/handling balance. Why amateurs imagine they can "improve" on such a sweet handling car like the Elan is beyond me, especially when they say they want "fast road handling". That`ll be an Elan then, and the reason you bought one. If you want to trade more grip for a harsher ride then buy an Elise.

Make the suspension adjustable and they will adjust it wrong -- look what they can do to a Weber carburetor in just a few moments of stupidity with a screwdriver.
