Aluminum Wheel Reconditioning

Iam looking at a set of original Elan aluminum wheels. They have some pitting on the surfaces . Does anyone know of a way to properly refurbish the wheels? Possibly media blast clean and seal with epoxy sealant and fill the divits with epoxy filler and then paint? What would be the value of the wheels AS IS in U.S. dollars? They would be purchased from Great Britan with the expense of shipping as an extra.
Regards!

Hi Greg,

I have never had any wheels refinished, but Ye Old Wheel Shop has been advertising in Autoweek for as long as I have been a subscriber. You might want to give them a call and see what they say. 1-800-526-8260. No affiliation, never used them, haven't ever talked to anyone who has. Just a place for you to start. Good luck.

or altenativley-
Alumiprep no 33 then alodine no. 1201
