I got a quote from http://www.goldlinebrakes.com

I think a few people on here recommend them. I couldn't justify the price quoted radically with shipping, so I did it my self. The paint finish is no where as good as if done professionally but was significantly cheaper.

I got the pistons and seals from Sue Miller as significantly cheaper than US sources and I had a UK trip. Think I would have come out a head even with postage from the UK....

Try Eric at PMB performance. pmbperformance.com. They do a great job, complete disassembly, replate, and rebuild! John

The owner of Vintage Imports - from the previous Ebay link -is a personal friend. You won't find a better source for old sports car parts on the Internet - period. He also has professional equipment to manufacture virtually any brake or hydraulic hose you might require.

You can get reasonably priced kits and stainless steel pistons from here: http://classicgarage.com/. The rears are the least expensive I've seen.

You can buy new calipers from Moss(Spitfire) for the fronts. The rears are more of a problem. I had mine rebuilt here in US locally by D&D Classics in Covington Ohio.

+1 on goldline, used them to rebuild my early 911 calipers - reasonable and fast . I would buy the fronts from moss as others suggested and get the rears done -

Those of you who have used goldline or PMB - did you spec or provide ss pistons, or go with alloy?

Any thoughts on goldline's newer finish vs the traditional zinc alloy used ny PMB?

Just called Goldline. Rather pricey at $90 per caliper to take apart, clean and rebuild. Pistons would be extra and then the zinc plating (if desired) would push $300 for all four. So, looking at $700+, plus shipping.

And, just got off the phone with PMB. $379 for the rears with parking brake, and $349 for the fronts. Includes plating and SS pistons though. Plus shipping.

I rebuilt mine with ss pistons from Ray and it was very easy. I did not paint the calipers, but was talking about it with a friend that has used this http://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-s-uret ... aints.html, which he said turned out very good. Just a thought. Dan

Thanks for sharing Charlie. I was thinking I could do it myself for $350-450 (including sending off for zinc plating), so $700-800 all-in doesn't sound too bad. Which are you going with and why?
