Suspension drop

PostPost by: bulfin » Wed Nov 12, 2014 9:46 pm

Hi,

1969 S4 DHC (left hand drive)

Went for a ride with my son (200lbs) as passenger. After some spirited turns, the right rear suspension dropped so that the tire was rubbing the inner lip of the fender. Son got out and the body stayed down almost touching the tire. I pulled the body up and it returned to its normal position. I then bounced the right rear a few times and it seemed to take the normal force to make it go down and it sprang back up normally. Drove it out of my driveway by myself and after a turn, the same thing happened. Pulled the wheel and everything looks normal. Any ideas as to the problem?

Thanks,

Bob
