Octagonal Nut Wrench with Minilites

All:
I bought a set of Minilites for my car. The homemade wrench I have from a previous owner to fit the octagonal nuts worked great with the factory steel wheels but will not clear the spokes on the minilites.
I bought the heavy-duty spanner from R.D. hoping that the angle put on it to clear the body work would mean that it would also clear the spokes on my minilites. While it comes closer than my original tool, the angle on that spanner does not occur early enough and is not sufficiently sharp.
I realize that I can go to the 3-ear KO nuts and perhaps avoid this conflict. However, I'd really like to stick with the octagonal nuts if possible.
Does anyone know where I can get a tool that solves this problem? If not, any other constructive suggestions.
Thanks.
Brian
