Mysterious noise from from LHS suspension.

Hi All,
Have recently noticed a metallic click/knock from the LHS suspension. It only manifests itself when going over a sharp bump.
To date, I have:
Replaced both anti-roll bar drop link top bushes. One had delaminated and the bar was almost touching the chassis.
Replaced the, decidedly, worn steering rack, non pinion end bush. (See previous post).
Had the LHS suspension fully apart. The top ball joint feels nice and firm, the trunnion has no movement when manipulated by hand, the trunnion to lower wishbone bushes are not worn (polyurethane). Checked front wheel bearing for excessive wear. The only visible wear I can find, is slight elongation in the trunnion to lower wishbone mounting holes.
My three major suspects: ball joint, trunnion or an internal failure of the Gaz shock absorber.
Any clues?
Regards,
Colin.

I'd change first the wheel, ( unlikely..), and then the shocker to the other side.
