I have a couple of US spec dual system M/C's, one has a fail/low level switch, I can check if it'll fit into a single system M/C.

Do you mean like the OEM SOVY set up? Or if you do a search there's a couple of nice aftermarket replacements.

Check out this thread:

I built a brake fluid level switch using a modified Car Builder Solutions cap. It works fine.

Is there room for any kind of hydraulic fluid level switch under the carbs of a 2-seater Elan?

Sorry, I should explain. It is a non-federal spec car for the export market (shipped to Canada) Left Hand Drive. Clutch with single circuit brake Master Cylinders. The M/C's are not obstructed by Webbers. If there is a device that works with a Girling cap, that would be ideal
Thanks for the response

Plenty of room on a LHD car!!

Not sure how tight you are on a RHD car to the carbs, the aftermarket sensor maybe adds about 1/2" height wise.

I had a look at the federal cylinder cap with the warning switch and it's too small to fit on top of a single circuit brake M/C - sorry.
