Steel wheel restoration

Firstly, my apologies for suggesting the wheel rims are a different size on S4s and Sprints. It`s the tyres that are wider, of course.
Re. MWS it would be great if someone local to Slough could pop in with their spare wheel and ask, anyone?
I`m still trying to find someone locally to true up mine, though not an engineer I can`t see that it`s a difficult job with the right equipment.
Next, is it not possible to replace the rims entirely, re-riveting and welding back in the original centres?
Finally, looking at the various costs, new wheels from the Elan Factory look an increasingly viable proposition.
Isn`t anyone else interested? We don`t need that many.

There doesnt seem to be enough interest. Ive suggested that the Elan Factory talk to all of the UK Lotus spares outlets to see if they can broker a deal. Meantime, pressurs gone off for me, found the good original that I wanted.
