Steve,

Just jumping back. Most impressive front bones, very nice. Also notice your engine mounts in the same picture, they look interesting. Are they your own design. I see you can get kits for escorts etc in some of the classic mags. I was looking at modifying some of them. Apologises if I have missed a previous thread. Could you tell us more?

Again a lot of work to do, but I enjoy fabricating.

Right, I will look into that possible issue.
So do I, but I am beginning to wonder if the building is going to turn out to be more fun than the driving :-)

Thank you. The bones are available to anyone interested in having easy control of camber and caster :-)

No point in designing something already made. These engine mounts are made by Milton in the UK for modifed Ford Anglia 105Es! I replaced the rubber bushes with solid aluminium so the engine in now part of the chassis :-)

You can see them in the PDF:

OK for my use as I don't have carbs smashing into fluid caps, but normal Elan owners would have to modify one of them.

The TTR race engine mounts are very similar in design. A little stiff for a road car with the engine shake at idle but great in a heavily loaded race car engine mount

I was about to make the same comment as Rohan. I have those TTR "race" engine mounts in my Zetec engined S4 & they do look very similar.
Cheers
