Minilites or Panasports

Ten years ago, I answered the question I raised here. Here're is an old thread that is relevant, James:

elan-archive-f16/lightweight-spinners-t6504.html

I will try to take a photo.

I think it might help. There may be interest by a few or us here to get the the '26R style' spinners that would work on normal hubs using Minilite or Panasport wheels.

Thanks
James

I just called TTR asked him if they could be made, and he said yes, no problem. They are visually identical to the proper 26R spinners, only the threads differ.

A photo of my spinners can be seen here: post97264.html#p97264

It probably won't matter on a low mileage car but don't forget the 26R style spinner doesn't have a closed end so your front bearings will get dirt and water in and the rears tapers and nuts may get rusty. Now, you wouldn't want that!

The right sized plastic Aerosol plastic cap may be pressed into service here, though......

Just retro read Mikes post and link....

I am pleased, though, that we have established without doubt (really?!) that the threads are different.

BTW, we used to wire the 26R ones to one of the four studs/pins in the day.

James, I posted a photo of the 26R and standard spinners in a new thread, so as not to hijack this thread. The 26R spinner for the standard Elan hub should be identical except for the thread, as noted by Elancoupe and others here.
