Bent steering column inner shaft - please help

We have a 1967 +2. We have removed the inner steering column shaft and the lower thin section is bent. The engineering shop said it's not a good idea to try and straighten it so we need to try and find a secondhand one. It's not a collapsible one, just a solid one piece shaft. Who does secondhand parts in UK? What car is it from? That might help open up some options. We only have a few weeks as we've entered a big car rally in April. Please help.

You'd need to check by comparison but I'm pretty sure that both the collapsible and non-collabsible columns are from the Triumph Spitfire/GT6/Vitesse. At least one of the UK Triumph parts suppliers has figures from the relevant parts manual on line so you could have a look and check...
