Sadly the current koni site doesn't show a listing for anything Lotus. What has the world come to?

However this catalogue from 2004 shows the same rear part number for both types of elan 86-1371

I'm wrong (and surprised) the Elan and +2 do have the same shock absorber in the latest catalogues too, sorry.

I'm surprised too, for the same reasons Mike said about weight differences. Have they always been the same or is this a case of homogenisation?

They have always been the same Robbie. Even the original Armstrong inserts were the same for the Elan and +2.

And Mike, I have never seen a pair of rear Koni's that were NOT adjustable, I am sure they all were/are. You cannot see any means of adjustment, it is all done with push down/turn and adjust.

thanks all,
looks like I might go for them after all, As long I haven't got everybody interested in them!
On the point of weight, I have only read on here that its the springs that takes the weight,
that is why there is diff lbsage on them.

again thanks to all for the help.

Gerald.

I have a set of what look to be the same shocks fitted, but as yet are untested. So i cant comment on the ride.
This is due to an ongoing restoration, mine do look the same, but are in-fact adjustable.
On page Number 8, (although its page 7 when printed !!!) of the attached link shows the already mentioned adjustment procedure. Plus more !
