Brake Light Switch... can anyone identify this part?

This brake switch has failed, and the repairs have failed also...
The switch is plastic, with a spring inside. It is screwed into the brake box in the engine bay of a 1969 or 1970 Elan plus 2. The lights sensitivity is adjusted using the screw.
Any assistance appreciated, ideally I am looking for a new replacement switch.
Thanks,

Ruff, Welcome on board!
See this thread:
elan-plus-f13/mechanical-brake-switch-not-hydraulic-t17285.htmlIt has a reference to switch being from/same as original Mini.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MINI-LATE-BRA ... 622wt_1037I think they are a pretty common fit part. See link above or put 'mini brake light switch' into Ebay.
I bought one from SJ for my light pods but they are cheaper on Ebay.

Ruff - as the replacement one is square rather than round like the original, could you tell us if it fits ok please?
I see the ebay link is for Old Skool Minis, nice guys, been there a lot lately as they've just done a full body job on our Mini. The guy that runs the parts side is a Lotus nut too. Had a few Elans and an Elise apparently. He was interested in my Plus 2 as he's having some nose badges made and wanted to compare the colour for a match with his pre-production sample.
Cheers
Robbie
