Rear Struts

PostPost by: Dave-M » Tue Dec 20, 2005 10:59 pm

Seasons greetings to all.
A question for the more knowlegable amongst us. How can I tell if the rear struts I have are early or later type.?
Do I have to dismantle and measure the bearings?
Regards
Dave

Hi Dave,
Have a look at the face of the casting below the hub.
Early type are embossed `Issue 16' - later type `Issue 18'.
Regards,
Peter.
