Alex, See below from old post of mine. We were waxing about XAS-FF. My S4 DHC was great on Bridgestones. I believe the new owner still has them fitted.

"The XAS were fine in the wet.

I have no great experience but have had Dunlop SP10's. Cheap and not bad at all. I even had some of those Vintage trye Co (I think it is called) original stype Dunlop SP Sports Auqua jet. Looked great. Side walls were soft as hell, tucking over at nothing. Real crap! Cost a fortune and had to go back and have my money returned. Not impressed. I have heard this several times. I now have some Bridgestone EVO B330 155x80 R13.

They were about ?50 odd a piece and seem a nice enough road tyre. Considering I just took the XAS off, I have not been upset by these Bridgestones. "

elanski wrote:Has anyone used Nangkang tyres at all. I'd never heard of them but a search for 185/70/13 tyres brings up thier CX668 tyre as a budget option from several places. They are cheap at just over ?30 each, are H rated and get good reviews from people using them on hatchbacks and the like, but has anyone tried them on the Elan?

I'm tempted to give them a go as most of the other tyres Ive looked at are more than twice the price.

Actually, yes I have used Nangkang NS-2 on my Saab AERO and have driven my fathers S-Type R wich also runs on Nangkang NS-2. We really haven't had any complains at all about them.

Finally I've fitted the car with new rubbers. Tyre of choice became... *snaredrum* Fulda Diadem Dirigo! I don't expect them to be as good as the Michelins I hade before but so far no surprises and the car handles well. A bonus is that the tyres have rotation direction which is unusual for R13 tyres theese days. To sum it up, the tyres work a treat (so far) and look time periodically correct. Once I've won the national lottery though, I'll propably cough up the cash for a set of Avons :-D

Cheers!

I'm looking for Toyo Proxes RA 1 or whatever else for street and track days. I have Hoosers but the sidewall is way too stiff for such a light car.
I use 205 x 60 x 13 on 6 inch rims Any suggestions?
Best source for good prices in the USA?

Thanks

These are the guys that I bought mine from. Listed on the site at $127. I have 185/60/r13. Much stiffer and stickier than what I had before.
