S4 Handbrake Umbrella mounting.

So how does this part mount in the car? I have the Lotus added bracket which bolts up to the flat area inside the engine compartment near the chassis ID plate. Is there supposed to be another bracket at the bottom of the umbrella to bolt it to the bulkhead or does it just stay in place by the clamp fitting in a hole in the bulkhead?

Any pics would be really helpful if there is a second bracket/mount.

Hi David,

Here are some pictures of the hand brake attachment of my Sprint which is a LHD car from 1971.
It's a bit fiddly in the footwell but I hope it shows you the way a bit

Thanks Leo. I don't see any lower bracket so it must just be located by the hole in the bulkhead. Another mystery solved!
