Looking for a picture or description of a rear sway bar installation.

Don't know about track cars but have never heard of anyone with a road car wanting to fit one.
Is that what you want to do ?

The drawing of the rear bar I post in the referenced link was from a guy who again demonstrated he is quicker than me at the last Lotus club national meeting in Queensland. I tell myself it is because he knew the track better and he was a better driver - but just maybe his Elan is quicker also with a rear bar

Sorry that I had forgotten how the bar was installed. In our case, the two clamping fixtures attach to the outriggers/braces that run from the crossmember to the lower frame extension. You know, the thingies that make the diff so hard to remove.

Positioning is the same as in the photo sent by bigvalvehead, with the exception of the difference in mountings. The drop arms attach to the forward arms of the wishbones.

It took seeing the bare chassis to remind me of how it went.

A rear anti roll bar usually makes for a very nervous handling Elan unless you up the front anti roll bar diameter by a big bunch. Rear anti roll bars do work well for cone racing(Solo, autocross are terms we use) because it makes the car rotate easily but that means a real twitchy car on the road or race track unless you balance things out with a much larger front bar and stiffer springs all around.

Thanks for the help. I ended up fabricating new mounts for the chassis and all is looking good.
