Rear shock tube removal

Any tips out there on removing the rear shock tube??

I was told to assembly you chill the tube and heat up the alli hub carrier and as there cool they are an interference fit.
So to separate you should just heat the alli hub carrier and the tube should pull out.

Start by removing the outboard drive shaft and bearings. Then clean the damper tube residing inside the hub carrier as best you can. This will help prevent scoring of the hub carrier when you remove the damper tube. Finally, as Jason says, heat the hub carrier until the tube slips out.

Thanks for the advice. I set the carrier up in my press, applied heat and pushed it out from the bottom.
