Steering Wheel From a ?

PostPost by: ElliottN » Tue Dec 28, 2010 12:58 am

Can anyone confirm what car this steering wheel is from?
It goes onto the column in my Elan (S4) but their are 2 pins in the boss (see photo) for cancelling indicators on whatever setup it came from - which I'd have to remove to use it (all academic now as I sourced a correct wheel anyway).
Thanks,

Hi

I've seen these wheels on Elans a number of times, they are not very strong and bend very easily. Were these wheels an original fit, possibly when other suppliers were not available?

I'm not a fanatic on original Elan steering wheels, they generally aren't too strong and I prefer slightly smaller and more chunky, although too small is not recommended.

It sort of looks like the wheel that was on a Europa S2 I had some time ago; although the car was pretty cobbled up, and the wheel might not have been an original.

Almost sure that this is a SPRINGALL wheel. Mounted on Jaguar E-Type S3 V12 and others.
