Steering wheel security devices

Good evening,

Does anyone have any recommendations for security devices that fit over/through Elan steering wheels? My concern is whether the ones I've looked at (in Halfords) will securely fit the narrow Elan wheel.

I have a battery cut off switch but wanted something visible to deter opportunist theft.

I have the Chapman signature steering wheel if thats relevant.

Thanks,
Tony.

I've used one of the disk type ones for a long time and it fits quite neatly. I probably got it in Halfords some time ago and I don't know whether it's what they sell now. Obviously you must get one that has a diameter just, but only just, bigger than the wheel.
I've used a variety of steering wheel locks on various cars over the years and never been very impressed with their value for money, quality or ease of use. The locks themselves can be quite tricky to open and close and sooner or later something goes wrong.
Nevertheless, they are a good visible deterent.

Hi

The disk steering wheel locks (Disklok) are the only ones worth buying. The others that go through the spokes of the wheel (Stoplock) can easily be removed by cutting the steering wheel. If you have ever cut a steering wheel with a hacksaw you know how easy this is.

I use a Disklok on my +2.
