I have to replace the vertical link and trunnion on the near side on my Elan S4. I am having trouble finding a vertical link for sale.
Does anyone know a source? Chris Neil and Chris Folds do not have any and say they are not in production at the moment.

Have you tried the Triumph suppliers (like Rimmer Bros)? (I'm assuming you're in the UK.)

The Vitesse ones will fit.

Hi,
In your search, be aware that the spindle and uprights are different size between the four-bolt wheels and the Elans with knock-off wheels. The difference is in the stub-axle (spindle) diameter and the hole to receive it in the upright.

The rule of thumb is that the early Elans with four bolt wheels used the Spitifre size uprights and spindles, the knock-ons used the larger diameter Vitesse parts.

The difference is in the spindle diameter, the "small" one is 1.0 inch and the larger is 1.060 inch. The bores in the uprights are sized correspondigly.

Also, the uprights are "handed", you must have the correct one for left or right side.
