Far from being an expert on this but....

weren't the Lockheed servos fitted to Plus 2's and the Girling MK2B fitted to Elans

Indeed the original unit was a Girling but the car I bought did not have a servo and so I have bought a Lockheed equivalent from Classicar Automotive.

Original fitment in the Elan and +2 were both Girling, approximately 2:1 gain in the Elan and 3:1 in the +2.

All the tricks and tips you need will be supplied by Classicar - if you ask.

Do you mean that the car never had a servo fitted?

I have no idea what a Lockheed servo looks like, but the parts manual pictures I have does not show a Girling servo but the +2 picture does.

You beat me to it Brian. I found this on the net and was interested to see in the skematic the petrol trap "U" bend and the use of an additional non-return valve.

Thanks all.

Classiscar car don?t have a photo but the drawing posted will help.

Brian ? the car clearly had a servo at some point ?the holes in the body where the Girling unit was mounted are there. I couldn?t source a Girling unit so I went for the Lockheed.
