Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

My Lotus parts manual shows the same part number for all years (B036 D 0064 RH), but to be safe I thought I should ask the experienced - Are there any differences between rear hubs from different series? Other than the drive pegs and thread direction. I have a hub on an Issue 16 that I would like to replace with a hub currently on an Issue 18 carrier.

Also what is the thread size and pitch for the hubs?

I'm pretty sure they are interchangable between the series, think the later hubs had some casting improvements to give added strength so they'd be preferable only from that point. The stub axles are slightly different on an Issue 16 hub carrier to those on an 18. Have a narrower bearing and seat.
