Threads on brake servo connections

PostPost by: Petter Hval » Fri Apr 03, 2009 9:12 pm

Hi!
I have got a brake servo for my Elan, it's a early Girling Mk2A unit. and I am wondering what the thread size is for the vacuum connection on the servo unit???
It looks like a 3/8" BSP thread but I can't make any 3/8" BSP thread match up with the servo.

Petter,
It should be 3/8-24 UNF, same as the calipers and master cylinders.

That's correct for the hydraulic lines, but not right for the vacuum, which is the one I'm trying to figure out.
(The vacuum line is larger than the hydraulic lines)

Ooops, sorry. I should not have tried to answer your question as the last thing to do after a sodding, long week at work.
